The 7th Comenius studying visit was in San Viator school in Sopuerta, in Spain from 4 - 8 February 2013 3 teacher and 13 students (5 boys and 8 girls) from Kohtla-Järve Ühisgümnaasium visited San Viator school in Sopuerta, Spain.
On Saturday (2 February 2013), we arrived at Bilbao Airport and were met by friendly parents, children and the teachers. Our students were taken into families for six nights. The teachers were staying in a hotel in Bilbao. On Monday (4 February 2013), we were taken to San Viator school, where we were welcomed by the school principal, Luciano Cearsolo and we had a short tour around the school and surroundings. It is a rural area Sopuerta which aims to employ ability to the local farmers. They offer a wide range of different studies to more than 1000 students from Kinder Garden to Middle Degree (level 2) and High Degree (level 4) in VET or Secondary School and bachelorship (pre-university). They also offer courses to unemployees and workers. Students of this school showed us Basque dances. On that day we also saw the celebration of Saint Agenda Day, visited Bizkaia Shuttle Bridge (World Heritage).
On Tuesday (5 February 2013), we went to Karrantza. We visited Pozalagua Cave (Karrantza) and a typical Basque House (baserri) with the workshop. After the dinner at Garras Restaurant where we tasted typical products from the area, we presented our presentations: Task 1. People of our century and Task 2. Our historical sites.
On Wednesday (6 February 2013), we went to Bilbao, had a guided tour in old town, visited Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and had great views of Bilbao.
On Thursday (7 February 2013), we went to Sopuerta where we had rural Basque sports. After it we had lunch (Batzoki Sopuerta), visited the Museum of Encartaciones, had dinner, organized by teachers and
parents where we exchanged the presents.
On Friday (8 February 2013), we left Spain from Bilbao Airport at 13.15.
